Chapman advised Thropos Holding Company, LLC in the development and launch of SDS Impact Debt, a new $1 billion asset-backed financing platform for affordable housing development throughout the United States. This innovative capital platform, a joint venture between Thropos and SDS Capital, provides a single source for construction and permanent financing of pooled and single assets for affordable housing developers, significantly reducing the time and cost to bring an affordable housing project to market by eliminating the need to apply for grants or other public funding that can take years to obtain. Chapman partners David Field and Mike Reed led the transaction team.
