Chapman attorneys Melanie Gnazzo, Marilynn Tham, Peter Bach-y-Rita, Catherine Choo, and Clara Pauw participated in the Legal First Responders kick off event on May 2 in San Francisco. Legal First Responders is a program of Legal Access Alameda that keeps a corps of pro bono attorneys trained and ready to respond in the immediate aftermath of a disaster such as a firestorm or an earthquake. In the event of a disaster, Legal First Responders attorneys will spend at least 10 hours providing critical services such as staffing a legal advice hotline or assisting individuals with FEMA appeals, among other services.
