Overview
Dan Swanson is a partner in Chapman’s Asset Securitization Department and a member of the Corporate Finance practice group.
Dan represents a wide range of finance companies and funding sources engaged in structured finance and securitization transactions, as well as in portfolio acquisitions, dispositions, restructurings and joint ventures involving financial assets. His experience includes the representation of lenders, issuers and investors in renewable energy and fintech transactions.
Dan also has extensive experience in representing banks, leasing companies, finance companies and other financial institutions in a wide variety of lending, equipment finance, leasing, and other financial transactions. His experience ranges from single lender loans to complicated multi-party secured transactions. Dan has experience in US and cross-border synthetic lease financings (including ‘build-to-suit’ construction financings) and capital lease financings of a broad range of assets.
Before joining Chapman in 2015, Daniel worked as an associate in the corporate and litigation division of a boutique law firm in New York City which specialized in the hospitality field. Dan has represented many established chefs, restaurateurs, and food and/or beverage businesses and is familiar with the legal aspects of the licensing and regulation of alcoholic beverages.
