Overview
Simona Ilies is senior counsel and member of Chapman's Corporate and Securities Department and Investment Management Group. Simona's practice is focused on the representation of investment companies with an emphasis on open- and closed-end funds and fund governance matters, including reporting, disclosure, and securities law issues. Simona has extensive background working with funds, boards of trustees, and investment advisers on Investment Company Act of 1940, Securities Act of 1933, and Securities Exchange Act of 1934 matters in connection with new products and ongoing regulatory compliance and management.
Prior to joining Chapman, Simona worked in the fund governance group at Northern Trust.
