Overview
Kimberly Bischoff is senior counsel in Chapman and Cutler's Corporate and Securities Department and a member of the firm's Investment Management Group and Private Funds Group. Her practice focuses on the representation of institutional investors in private equity funds, hedge funds, real estate funds, and other investment vehicles. Kimberly also advises private funds with respect to compliance issues and fund formation.
Kimberly has extensive experience representing institutional investors in mezzanine financing and direct equity co-investment transactions. Her work with institutional investors and private funds has also included domestic and international direct placements of senior and subordinated fixed income investments in secured and unsecured financings, as well as mergers and acquisitions, utility and equipment financing, and commercial lending.
Kimberly started her career at Chapman in 2005 after participating in the firm's summer associate program in 2004. Prior to rejoining the firm in 2017, she worked as a vice president, associate general counsel in Asset Management Law at Nuveen.
