Overview
Megan Rudd is a partner in Chapman's National Public Finance Department. She joined the firm in 2014.
Megan practices primarily in the area of tax-exempt municipal financings for nonprofit health care institutions. Megan has served as bond counsel, underwriter's counsel, and borrower’s counsel for tax-exempt and taxable financings for hospitals, multistate health systems, and continuing care retirement communities throughout the United States, including public offerings, private placements, and direct purchases. In addition, Megan has represented creditors and debtors in municipal bankruptcies.
Megan also represents financial institutions in the municipal derivatives area, including interest rate swaps, repurchase agreements, guaranteed investment contracts and forward delivery agreements.
Prior to joining Chapman, Megan practiced in the health care group at Jones Day.
