Overview

Brian Coughlin is an associate in Chapman’s Corporate and Securities Department. He focuses his practice on corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, particularly regarding private equity investments, and a range of equity and debt financing transactions.

Prior to joining Chapman, Brian practiced corporate law at an Am Law 200 firm in Chicago and prior to that, he was a manager in the strategy and transactions group at Grant Thornton. 

Additionally, Brian serves as a Court Appointed Special Advocate in Lake County, Illinois, where he advocates for the best interest of children involved in the court system.
