On August 22, the SEC announced that it is holding an open meeting at 10:00 a.m. (EST) on Wednesday, August 27, 2014, to vote on adoption of the following rulemakings:
- Regulation AB II: Rules revising the disclosure, reporting and offering process for asset-backed securities. The revisions would require asset-backed issuers to provide enhanced disclosures -- including information for certain asset classes about each asset in the underlying pool in a standardized, tagged format -- and would revise the offering process and shelf eligibility criteria for asset backed securities.
-
Additional Dodd-Frank Implementing Regulations: Rule amendments and new rules to implement provisions of the Dodd-Frank Act concerning nationally recognized statistical rating organizations, providers of third-party due diligence services for asset-backed securities, and issuers and underwriters of asset-backed securities under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.
